Nursing faculty honored for teaching excellence
Four UCLA School of Nursing faculty members received the 2022 UCLA Nursing DAISY Award for Teaching Excellence: Nancy Pike, Nancy Jo Bush, Barbara Demman, and Benissa Salem.
“We are honored to award this year’s DAISY Awards to four incredible faculty members,” said Lin Zhan, PhD, RN, FAAN, Dean & Professor of the UCLA School of Nursing. “Each of them has made an immense impact on their students and continue to help propel our School of Nursing forward. We are proud to have each of them as part of our UCLA Nursing family.”
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Faculty was first established by the DAISY Foundation to provide universities and colleges of nursing a national recognition program to demonstrate appreciation to their nursing faculty for their commitment and inspirational influence on their students.
In partnership with the DAISY Foundation, the 2022 UCLA Nursing DAISY Awards were made possible thanks to the generous support of Nancy Blake, PhD, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC, FAAN, currently the Chief Nursing Officer at LAC + USC Medical Center and a faculty member at the UCLA School of Nursing.
