UCLA School of Nursing alumna Dr. Kristin Kopelson, DNP, ACNP-BC, FNP-BC, co-director of the Center of Education Interprofessional Academic Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team at the Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles, has been named a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners

Dr. Kopelson is a member of the Veterans Affairs National Standards of Practice Workgroup, the Residency Expansion Initiative Committee, and was Co-Chair of the national Interprofessional Academic PACT Workgroup. She was the West Los Angeles Lead Nurse Practitioner and Site Manager. As a three-time graduate of the UCLA School of Nursing, Dr. Kopelson is now serving as a preceptor, presenter, and doctoral student mentor in the role of Assistant Clinical Professor - volunteer.
 
Dr. Kopelson was elected to the California Association for Nurse Practitioners (CANP) Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Board Member for six years. She was awarded the 2015 CANP Nurse Practitioner of Distinction.
