The UCLA School of Nursing hosted its annual Scholarship Appreciation Luncheon on May 10, honoring scholarship recipients and the donors that support these transformative gifts. This year, UCLA Nursing announced that more than 600 scholarships were awarded to more than 250 students for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The luncheon also celebrated the creation of a brand new, UCLA Nursing alumni supported scholarship, The Janice Annette Jones Memorial Nursing Scholarship. Created by School of Nursing alumnus Marselis Irving, and his family, in memory of Irving’s mother, this scholarship is meant to continue his mother’s legacy of selflessness and support by assisting future nursing students in their journey’s towards health care.
