UCLA School of Nursing alumna Anna Dermenchyan, PhD, RN, CCRN, CPHQ, published a new op-ed on the importance of the flu vaccine. Dr. Dermenchyan, who is currently the interim chief quality officer for the UCLA Department of Medicine, shared her experience as a nurse caring for a patient who lost his life to the flu. Her personal story highlights the potential severity of influenza, even in those without underlying conditions.
