Lisa Diaz

Lisa Diaz, RN, MSN, CDCES, a doctoral student in the UCLA School of Nursing's PhD program, has been selected to receive the 2024 Western Institute of Nursing's (WIN) Conference Scholarship Award.

This award will enable Diaz to attend the 2024 WIN Conference in Salt Lake City, UT in April. In addition to her attendance, Diaz, along with more than dozen other UCLA Nursing researchers, will also be presenting her work at this year's conference. Her Podium Presentation, Supporting Increased Engagement Among Latino Men in Diabetes Research, co-authored by Professor Sarah Choi, will take place on Thursday, April 18 at 3:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom ABC. 

According to its website, this award is part of WIN's commitment to structure opportunities to advance health equity in the West and specifically to promote health equity through WIN programming, develop nurse leaders from diverse populations, and increase the number of monetary awards focusing on health disparities in the West.
