Associate Dean recognized for efforts mentoring young researchers
Robert Lucero, PhD, MPH, RN, FAAN, UCLA School of Nursing Professor, Associate Dean of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, and the Inaugural Adrienne H. Moseley Endowed Chair in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion has been awarded AcademyHealth’s 2022 Interdisciplinary Research Group on Nursing Issues’ (IRGNI) Research Mentorship Award.
The accolade recognizes the contributions of a senior scientist to the career development of young investigators who are engaged in research focused on interdisciplinary health services nursing issues.
“It is truly an honor to receive this award,” said Lucero, who is also a professor and the inaugural Adrienne H. Moseley Endowed Chair in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the School of Nursing. “I have benefited from mentors throughout my career who have provided me with guidance and support that has been invaluable. And now, to be recognized for hopefully having a similar impact on others is really rewarding.”
Lucero received the award in June at the IRGNI Pre-Conference Session held in conjunction with the AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting.
