Melissa Powell, PhD, MS, RN, CPHQ, a postdoctoral fellow in the UCLA National Clinician Scholars Program and in the UCLA Joe C. Wen School of Nursing, reflects on her experience presenting and participating at the 2025 Creating Healthy Work Environments conference. As a nurse researcher specializing in occupational trauma, she says the conference highlighted the importance of evidence-based leadership practices, psychological safety, and organizational accountability in advancing nurse well‑being.
