January 2024 | The UCLA School of Nursing is not currently accepting new applications for International Visitors.

The UCLA School of Nursing welcomes international visitors to apply for one of our programs for international visitors and groups.

UCLA’s SON international programs are not degree or credit based. Upon completion of a program, a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded. The current rate for visiting scholars is $1,000 USD/month with a minimum of $3,000 per visit.

Visiting International Professors/scholars with an Academic Appointment at his/her Home Institution 

Priority consideration will be given to applicants whose stated objectives most closely match the School’s mission to promote international research collaborations. 

Visiting Graduate Researchers (VGRs) and Postdoctoral Fellows 

Degree seeking graduate students who have been accepted by a faculty mentor will be given priority consideration. 

International VGRs and Postdoctoral fellows may apply for a 4 week to 24 month appointment.   

Visiting International Groups 

UCLA’s SON hosts groups of 2 or more visitors throughout the year. Priority acceptance will be given to groups with a memorandum of understanding.
