Ray Hummel brings a wealth of knowledge from his more than 20 years of experience in emergency, trauma, critical care and flight nursing. He started his advanced practice career in the emergency department and subsequently transitioned into trauma and acute care surgery. He has been an active member of The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN), first as an item writer then as an Exam Construction and Review Committee member for the Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) and Certified Transport Registered Nurse (CTRN) examinations. He has also been a reviewer for multiple critical care transport textbooks.  Mr. Hummel has been teaching in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care APRN program since 2018.
