Kathryn Cronin has been a Lecturer for UCLA School of Nursing for 6 years in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care APRN program and has over 23 years of experience in the nursing field. Kathryn earned her BSN at San Francisco State University and her MSN at UCLA, she has been a Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the past 18 years; she holds a second national board certification as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. Kathryn’s career as an NP began in 2004 at Olive View UCLA Medical Center. Since then, she has worked in various areas including Internal Medicine, Hospitalist, Primary Care and for the past 12 years has specialized in Palliative Care. She has also worked in the community as a Hospitalist and in private practice Internal Medicine.  She recently became the Director of Nurse Practitioner Practice for the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, the second largest public health care system in the U.S.
