Associate Dean of Student Affairs

Advocating and facilitating the professional, academic success and graduation of students into the health professions is a passion for Dr. Liz. She considers the work a privilege and honor to have worked with diverse students, staff and faculty, in public and private institutions of higher learning to increase the diversity of our healthcare workforce. Understanding the unique preparation and support students need to successfully matriculate through their areas of study, she is dedicated to informing and preparing undergraduate and graduate students in become health professional leaders.
At the UCLA School of Nursing she collaboratively leads and coordinates several units that support, provide and promote student access, retention, degree completion and career development for the school. These units include Student Affairs, Recruitment, Outreach & Admissions and Financial Services. Yzquierdo is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health
