About
Darah "Dolly" Wilson is a dedicated nurse practitioner and educator with over 15 years of experience in nursing and advanced practice, and 7 years of experience teaching at UCLA. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree from UCLA in 2017, followed by a Post-Master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate from UCSF in 2021. Her dual certifications uniquely position her to address both physical and mental health needs with a compassionate and holistic approach in clinical practice and bring expertise into the classroom.
Her clinical experience spans emergency departments, urgent care, and critical care transport, where she managed high-acuity conditions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked tirelessly on the frontlines, providing care in urgent care settings and supporting critical care transports, while also adapting her teaching methods for nursing students in virtual environments.
As a Continuing Lecturer at the UCLA School of Nursing, she leads the Fundamentals of Professional Nursing series and is highly regarded for her innovative teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development. She has also contributed to major course revisions that emphasize evidence-based practices and inclusivity. She is also the faculty advisor for the Graduate Student Nursing Association (GSNA) and has been chosen by students to be faculty speaker at graduation events.
In addition to her academic and clinical roles, she is the founder of Blossom Med, a wellness practice focused on integrative health and holistic care. Her work reflects her commitment to empowering patients to achieve balance and vitality through personalized care.
Beyond her teaching and clinical practice, she is an advocate for nursing education, volunteer for the Los Angeles Human Rights Initiative, and active member of her teaching union, UC-AFT, where she continues to inspire her community through her leadership and dedication to improving healthcare and education.
