Join our Alumni Lecture program on Thursday, May 7, 12pm-1pm, in Factor 2-648 and via Zoom and hear from Alumna Katie Kozakowski. Katie Kozakowski is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) with 10 years of healthcare experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Arizona and ultimately got her Dual Advanced Practice Master of Science (MSN) as an Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist from University California Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2022. Currently, as UCLA’s Neuroscience CNS, Katie collaborates with a wide variety of specialties, but in her role through the CENTER for Nursing Excellence it encompasses the three spheres of impact- direct patient care, nursing education/advancement, standardizing and streamlining clinical systems. Kaite’s subspecialty is in the neuroscience patient population focusing on holistic/integrative approaches to ensure delivery of efficient, empathetic, and whole-person care across the system. Katie was born and raised in Los Angeles. She enjoys learning new things, going to concerts & music festivals, travel adventures, connecting with other people, and spending time with her friends and family.
