Founded in 1847, the New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) is committed to helping all people live healthier, longer lives through innovative research and collaboration. With more than 1,700 distinguished fellows and members, NYAM brings together leading experts to translate ideas into policy and real-world impact.

Fellows must have at least a decade of experience after completing their graduate training or education in a health care field. They are expected to show evidence of strong performance in one of several health professional roles, such as practitioner, educator, or researcher. Once inducted, fellows are expected to forward NYAM's mission through involvement across a variety of research focuses and programs.

2025 fellows will be formally inducted at a December 1 ceremony in New York.
