Amy Drizhal spearheads major gifts fundraising initiatives for the UCLA School of Nursing.
Drizhal joined the UCLA Nursing Development & Alumni Relations team in 2014. She has been with UCLA for more than 10 years, having begun her UCLA development career in the Luskin School of Public Affairs and the UCLA Library. Prior to that she held development positions at the University of Texas School of Social Work and the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
Amy is a graduate of the University of Texas (UT) at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications and Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Education with a focus on theatre arts as a catalyst for social change and awareness. During her time at UT Austin, she was hired to launch an educational outreach program at the UT Austin Performing Arts Center and to support the External Affairs Director for the School of Theatre and Dance. These experiences inspired her to continue her work in support of higher education, and eventually led her to pursue a career in development at UCLA in 2010.
With over 14 years of experience as a senior development professional working deeply within a university setting, Drizhal has a strong commitment to increasing philanthropic investment in support of educational excellence, research, and community engagement. Drizhal is grateful to work with the remarkable faculty, staff, students, alumni, and friends of the School of Nursing to advance nursing education, nursing science, health care delivery, and health equity.
