Aaron Hilf joined the UCLA School of Nursing in 2022. Originally from southern California, Aaron spent more than a decade as a journalist and communications professional at organizations and universities across the country before returning home to California. Prior to joining UCLA, Aaron was a communications manager at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. There, his work focused on promoting the university’s research enterprise, developing creative content for owned web and social media channels, and providing strategic direction to university leadership. Aaron holds various certifications from FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security and has served in several emergency management roles throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to his time in Florida, Aaron was a communications representative at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM.

Before transitioning to higher education, Aaron worked as a journalist at several television stations across the country and was part of several award-winning news teams. He is a graduate of California Lutheran University.
