Nursing school dean recognized for leadership
The National Black Nurses Association Trailblazer's Award was given to Dean Courtney Lyder at the NBNA annual convention held August 6-7 in San Diego. The award is unique in that it recognizes an individual whose character places her or him in a position of leadership. It is given to an individual who has taken risks as a pioneering trailblazer, especially in the fields of nursing and medicine.
